Proximity Sky is Australia's leading proximity and location based marketing solutions provider. The service enables clients to promote rich media to targeted audiences via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology. itsimple developed r-CMS for Proximity Sky which went live in mid 2011. r-CMS is a customised content management system that allows clients of Proximity Sky to manage their own location based marketing campaigns.
A public website and online marketing strategy were also developed to run alongside this project.
The main objective of the Proximity Sky project was to create the r-CMS that could manage the content of multiple campaigns across multiple devices in multiple locations, with an easy to use interface.
Features of the system developed by itsimple include:
User management
- Ability to assign different access levels to different users
- Overall company management
- Ability to assign users to companies
Device management
- Ability to assign devices to companies (allowing each user from that company to see their own devices)
- Creation of nested folder structures for devices. This enables one campaign to be sent to a whole group of devices
- QR Code generation for administrators to easily identify the properties of a device
Campaign management
- Users can create campaigns
- Users can upload content for both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and preview that content in real time before a campaign is launched
- An advanced user interface was created to include drag and drop functionality to easily add content as well as sliders to manage campaign time schedules
- The ability for users to deploy campaigns to devices
A public website was also created by itsimple. The aim of this was to easily communicate to audiences the services that Proximity Sky can offer and the benefits it offers their brand. An online marketing campaign was started shortly after site launch, and is still ongoing with great results.
