dm Forum
The dm Forum is a quarterly event run by Action Word’s Frank Chamberlin. It is an opportunity for marketing professionals to come together, listen to key speakers from the industry and to network with their peers.
Objective
The dm Forum has been running for 10 years without an online presence and Frank was looking to increase activities for the upcoming tenth anniversary. It was important that the website had a professional, easy to use feel that appealed to people from the marketing sector.
Strategy
itsimple worked with Frank to understand the target market, the behaviour of current attendees and the key selling points of the events. With little promotional activity to date, the need for a logo to allow attendees to identify with the dm Forum was important. itsimple worked on a brand identity, creating the dm Forum’s first logo and brand colours and then incorporated the elements of that logo in the design of the website. This process allowed Frank to market the tenth anniversary before the website was delivered.
Execution
The website that was created promoted the events and appealed to the target audience of marketing professionals. Event creation and management functionality was included to allow interested users to submit their details in order to receive invitations for all upcoming events.
